Yes, it is the iPhone I have been waiting for, but with less than a week left until the release I have began questioning if I really want to get one. Right now I have a v1 iPhone that I bought off of a friend and have been playing around with. With my mac having a powerpc processor and not an intel I haven’t gotten to play around with the iphone sdk yet, which brings up another question for me. If I do get the iPhone 3g, should I get a new Mac with an intel processor so I can make my own apps? Probably the biggest thing keeping me away is the fact that I will have to switch to paying a monthly cell phone bill with a two year contract instead of my current bill of $0 since I am on a family plan.
